The
AniRA platform is dedicated to the generation and the phenotyping of mouse
models.
The platform is subdivided in specialised facilities
providing different services. All facilities
maintain strong links with local research teams allowing efficient technology
development and transfer. AniRA belongs to the US8
/ UMS3444 that was created early this year to run the platforms developed
by the former IFR128. The UMS3444 Biosciences Gerland - Lyon Sud is located
on the Charles Mérieux campus in Lyon. The AniRA platform is involved
in the European phenomic consortium EUMODIC
for which it performs secondary i.e. in depth phenotyping. Finally, AniRA
is part of Celphedia,
a distributed national network (TGIR) of facilities dedicated to production,
characterisation and archiving of animal models.
